What are the rules for deleting an unconfirmed trade. I have people that I have set a trade up with but never confirmed the trade. What are the rules for that.

I understand the rules for a confirmed trade are contacting the user at least once in 7 days and once in the next 7 before a trade can be deleted.

How long has the trade been unconfirmed, and have you talked with them since initiating the trade?

I have two unconfirmed from the 9th and one from the 11th so not too long. But I've PM'd, and emailed the users and have not gotten any responses as to weather or not they are still interrested.

Oh and they are the last people I'm waiting on for a site so I'm kinda anxious to finish it.

If you have not heard from the users after about 3 days, and have had no contact with them since the trades were initiated, then I think it is reasonable to cancel the trades.

That is what I am thinking. But I dont' want to delete the trade and then have them do the site and me be forced to pay them.

But I'm thinking that the chances of them completing the site are pretty low.

Have they signed up for your sites? If they haven't by now, then you are safe to delete the trades (assuming you put the links in the trade module and not a pm).

One has so I didnt' think it would be fair to delete his. But the others i wanted to.

Keep trying to contact the user who has signed up and not greened. I'm not sure on the specific procedure of that situation, so you can choose to wait the 2 weeks if you wish. After that, they have missed out by default.

hmm....i think its in the rules that you can request deletion if one side hasn't confirmed the trade, right?
that should help you )

Yeah, I really wish that I could get in touch with them. He is a newb and has 1 post so I'm thinking that he isn't gonna come back. So I would like not to have to wait the two weeks, but at the same time I dont' want to have to pay him if he goes green when I don't need it anymore.

I think I'm gonna start setting up a some sort of terms with people I trade with.

Is that in the rules anywhere? I've read them but I can't remember seeing that.

And is it still allowed if they have yellowed?

[quote258ff62a1b="Trade Module Guide"]# Request Deletion Deletes the record permanently. Both parties have to select this option to permanently delete the record. When one side sets their status to “Request Deletion” the trade is automatically set to “hidden”. Once the other party selects "Request Deletion" the trade will be removed from both of your modules.

li Note A trade may be deleted by just one party's "Request Deletion" in the following cases the other party is banned, or the trade is not yet confirmed.[/quote258ff62a1b]

Oh that's cool. Thanks

I still dont' think that it is ethical to delete the trades of the people that have gone yellow but havn't responded to me. Even if they didn't confirm the trade.
