Hey, i just tried to post a topic in the trading post and was told that we could only post one topic every 72 hours. is this a new rule? becuase a little while ago i was able to post more, It just seems very difficult to trade because that forum gets flooded by threads and yours gets lost in the pages very fast. any ideas on how to get trade offers out more?

There's an influx of ALOT more people so the threads do move more. BUT ... I believe you can "bump" your post ONCE each 24 hrs.

From the Trading Post Guidelines ...

http//forum.freeipodguide.com/viewtopic.php?t=8376

"b. Do not create a new post more than once per 3 days. Also, do not 'bump' your post more than once per 24 hours (1 day). When the 3 days are up, you may choose to create a new thread, or bump an existing thread, but you cannot do both."

yeah one of the mods probably made it so TSJ doesnt have to lock every other thread

...
This has been around for so long. It used to be one bump OR thread every three days, before the new rules was bumps per 24 hours.

so newbies can't make a thread at all until they've waiting 72hrs after registering to the site??

You've got to be kidding me... I can't believe you're asking this. roll

This is [b8a9b0f53e0]exactly[/b8a9b0f53e0] why we had to make the change. YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT READING THE RULES THAT THE BIG RED BOX AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE IS TELLING YOU TO!!!!!!!!

The 72 hour rule has been in effect for a very long time now -- longer than ANY of you that have posted in this topic, except perhaps unknown uchiha, have been here. It applies to EVERYBODY (except admins). So this means you didn't read the rules or you wouldn't be asking such a basic question, which is exactly WHY we had to do this. You newbies who don't read the rules were constantly violating them, and TSJ and other mods were killing themselves trying to police the Trading Post.

No, it has nothing to do with your registration date. You simply cannot create a new Trading Post topic within 72 hours of creating another. Nor can you bump your Trading Post topic sooner than 24 hours from the last bump. These are cardinal rules of trading here and are spelled out quite clearly in the rules that apparently nobody is reading.
