phone privacy, any ideas?

There was a post on this forum a while back about an internet company where you can get a phone number that can be used for offers youre completeing. It is your line and you are the only one using it. Does anyone know anything about this? Does anyone have any other methods they like for protecting phone privacy? Thanks, jeremybecherer

Here's another new one. It creates a temporary phone number that will forward to your real number for an hour, a day, or a week.
