In my old HP laptop the slot on the side was the PC IMA slot or something like that. Now on my new laptop ( Dell Inspiron 9400 ) the slot isn't the same. Does anyone know what that slot is called? Thanks.

Do you mean video card slot? There are 3, PCI, PCI-e, and AGP. You have PCI-e as your video card slot. If you mean RAM... you need PC2-4200 200 PIN SODIMM. You can hold up to 2GB of RAM on there. Hope this helps!

...which was actually retired several years ago in favor of "PC Card," to include "CardBus" for 32-bit PC Cards. Us old-timers still call 'em PCMCIA, though. ;)
