My new ipod from free4me was approved last night and should be coming by the end of the week. I have a 3rd generation ipod right now, and I'll probably be selling it on ebay. I was wondering
1. How would I clear all of the music off of my old ipod so it is okay to sell to someone?
2. Will I run into any problems with itunes recognizing and adding all the songs from my library to my new ipod?
+kma for any good responses

nah when you get a new pod you should have no trouble putting all your music on it.

No, you definitely won't. You will name your iPod and since it's brand new, it will automatically start updating everything in your library upon your computer detecting it. As far as restoring your iPod to factory settings, here's a helpful link

I did it with my 3rd generation also and it worked perfectly. )

I have sold 3 used ipods/mp3 players on ebay and they have all had songs on them. I said it came preloaded with XXXX songs and listed the artists. I also said I could remove the songs at the buyers request just in case they don't want the songs. So I wouldn't clear the music off.. you will get more money and I don't think ebay cares because I have done it 3 times.

worst case scenario is that ebay will close the auction and you have to relist. Like I said, I have done it 3 times and ebay has said nothing.
