Red Lights Flashing on Xbox360?

anybody had this problem. I just got this like 10 minutes ago, and the system froze. I off the system, turn it back on, the 3 red lights appear. I know the power supply hasn't over heated

SYMPTOMS
You see three lights on the Ring of Light (RoL) flash red on the front of the Xbox 360 console. The upper-right quadrant light is the only light that does not flash red.

CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure.

THINGS TO TRY
1. Try restarting the console.
2. If restarting the console does not resolve the behavior, follow these steps
a. Turn the console off.
b. Unplug all the power and AV cables from the console.
c. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
d. Firmly reconnect all the cables.
e. Turn on the console.
3. If these steps do not resolve the behavior, turn the console off, remove the hard drive, and then turn on the console.
• If the 3x Red LED error light is no longer displayed, turn the console off, re-attach the hard drive, and then turn on the console.
4. Examine the lights on the power supply. When you turn on the console, the power supply light should illuminate green even if the three lights on the RoL flash red. I did all that. The light that comes from the power supply is "orange". Is it suppose to be that color?

hmm that doesnt sound good ( but i am not sure

well, it's orange/yellow color. That is the color that it's on when the console is off. but when u turn the console ON, the light on the power supply turn GREEN.

How do i know whether i got an old version of the 360 that has the glitch? I checked the back of the console, and the date is 05/06/2006. So obviously it's one of the new ones

This happened to mine. I called Xbox support and they walked me thru a couple things, but nothing worked. So they sent me a return box, and had a new one back to me in a little over a week

is that service forever or is it something that you can only have within the 90 day from purchase?

I think 1 year. Call them and they will look up your warranty,

im pretty sure it does since u will be able to download all those roms to it

It should come with a Manufactuer's Warranty. Not sure how long that is though.

it is still covered by the manufactures warrenty. i bought mine off ebay and don't even have a receipt.

did you register your 360? (if you are on xbox live, it is registered.)

just call the support number and they will help you.

The WII won't be HDTV I don't think. I read that in my Nintendo Power Mag.

I waited 14 hours for my 360 in Walmart, and a month later the 3 red lights of doom come on. Though I sent it to Microsoft, and within a week I got it fixed, or maybe it was a new one I dont know?

i think the Manufacturer warrenty is 3 MONTHS. When did u have that problem?
