ood? what is it exactly?

i know it stands for offer of doom.. but thats all i know. its not in the faq.. i searched the boards.. and got about 400 matches just of people typing "ood" but nowhere could i find what offers it actually is and why they are "doom"
lol any help here guys?

They are typically things like credit card offers where you have to be approved and actually make a purchase before receiving credit, or expensive offers like $300 worth of real estate books, 4 rooms of DirecTV/Dish, dental insurance, etc.

they are also called that because on offer centric when you get close to finishing your site those are the olny offers left for your refferals to do
and they are typically the last page offers on DIY sites

Rumor has it that they have stopped their OODs - be interesting to find out if that is the case.

It would also be untrue.

If OC dropped OOD, I'd have gotten to tier 3 on NB4F.
