I just got the iPod video a few hours ago ( D ) and it seems automatically formatted for Windows. Since I have a Mac and want to charge and transfer music quickly using Firewire, does anyone here know how to format it to be Mac formatted?
And yes, I searched for it and couldn't find it.
Btw, it looks fucking awesome.

the new ipod does not support firewire, as far as i know, u can only charge your ipod but not as data transfer.

the new iPod doesn't transfer via firewire... how does that make any sense? all apple computers in this day and age have a firewire port, and...

What bullshit. You mean I need a firewire to charge, and a USB to transfer songs?
I hate this fucking USB; it's taking me like four hours to copy all my music to this thing. I can't imagine videos.
It just doesn't seem possible.

no. I said the only thing that will work when you connect to the firewire is that you are able to charge your battery. However you will not be able to transfer data via firewire. USB has become the standard connection for charging and data transfer. The reason i think was because of the limited space available on the new ipod, and having firewire took too much. Plus everyone has usb1 if not 2 whereas firewire is less common, I for one dont have it, so i wont miss it.
