Just curious how well the donation on the main page works?

I was just wondering how well people have done by donating to the site to have their link put up. Many referrals?

from what I remember reading in a previous thread.. nobody gets any greens. and how could they? why would someone sign up under a banner link on a board that promotes trades of referrals. even the newbiest of the newbs knows they can get a few bucks for their green. i could see the banner link being good if you had something like, "$20 for a notebooks4free green" and linked it to a post on the trade forum.

I made a donation for the freeipod link when i first started (in Jan.) It finally went up sometime in March and i ended up with one green out of it.
