Bad Experience, but it's getting worked out. Overreacted.
I just joined this site about 9 days ago, and worked really hard to green for people fast, earn a little startup cash, build up my TR and learn how this all works. I did everything how I was supposed to and everyone was happy.
I finally go to a place where people would green for ME, because I had a higher TR and could help NEWBIES out and be fairly trusted by established members! I worked hard, all day for a few days, and completed 3 different sites, with 5 referrals on each. I submitted for approval on all 3, and got 3 out of 5 REDS ("on hold") for each site, some of them were different! That's $60 x 3 sites down the drain = $180. If everything had been done right, instead of being $180 down, plus whatever money I spent on the other referrals that actually STAYED GREEN, instead of $600 ($200 from each of the 3 sites)! Wow, this sucks.
I don't know if I got scammed by some NEWBIES, or if these people truly did not know the proper process, BUT, nonetheless, the excitement of maybe getting my first PRIZES is gone, and I've lost a considerable amount of money in the process.
I'm either going to cut my losses and just quit this whole damn thing all together, or I might have to start just paying ON APPROVAL! All I know is that this sucks and I feel like the life has just be drained out of me!
Sorry everyone. HAD TO VENT! evil evil evil ! ! !
Sorry for the rant!
[quotee4a2176e4f="jeagle82"]OH, and to add to this, ONE of the referrals that went RED was actually a family member from a different household (I'm positive that this is allowed, so i referred him to my sites). I WATCHED him complete these offers and go green. I KNOW for a FACT that he did not provide "false information". He used HIS credit card with HIS name on it, and supplied HIS address.
Maybe these sites are just arbitrarily putting people "on hold" so they don't have to PAY OUT to us members as quickly! If this is the case, THEY are committing fraud! There has to be a way I can prove this and report them right??? Please tell me there's a way to submit grievance and have something done.
If I didn't have this family member green for me, while I WATCHED him, then I would just assume I got scammed, or this was the product of NEWBIES messing something up unconciously... BUT, this is not the case. I WATCHED him green for me, and it all was legit, but yet he still was placed "on hold" on all 3 of the sites!!
I'm sorry you have had such a bad experience. You might want to try doing some DIY's or Points sites where you don't have to rely on referrals. If you would like some info on these, send me a PM.
Where did your family member do the offer? You said you watched him, did he use your computer? They only allow one signup per IP. Have you sent in a support ticket to find out why he was put on hold?
Also, most every site is going through changes due to fraud. Very few sites will allow manual credits now. Many sites now have in their TOS that if you are put on hold on another site, they will also put you on hold.
I think all these changes will help us honest traders out in the long run. Most of us have lost money due to fraud. Some of it was unintentional by newbies.
He was in his own house, on his own computer. So, no, it wasn't from the same IP. I submitted a support ticket and I guess I'll wait to see what the problem is. I'm really bummed and turned off to all this trading crap now. Sucks.
Stop pm spamming, mods he is pm spamming with his ref links.

Same thing happened to me (
What ISP does he have?
He's using Internet Explorer and the Service Provider is Comcast. Would that matter?

Give up now. You will never get another good referral.
I was put on hold for going Red for having mulitple accounts, he said someone else entered the same physical address as me into their profile. Is it just me or would I have to be an idiot to do that? I know I'm very new but since the admin said he is not willing to resolve this I'm inclined to agree with the theory above... maybe some sites do this so they don't have to pay out. I would rather that be the case though than the possiblitity that somone is using my address or a very close variation of it that is making my account go on hold. At least if it's the admin doing it I know who to blame and I'll be ok on other sites. This is really bugging me so if anyone has anything helpful to say... I'm all ears. I'm still hoping that the admin will change his mind and decide on what he would accept as proof that this is all a mistake created by someone else other than me. (
what sites did you get dq'd at?

While I can't disclose details, the information from your account matches the other account almost perfectly. I wish I could help you out with this matter, but at the end of the day, it is really the Admin's decision.
I assure you, though, that we don't put people on hold simply so we don't have to pay out. I tried to help, but I can't do any more for your particular case.
Is it just me, or did my thread just get hijacked?????
I believe you got 2 threads here.
No, the other one is not my thread, and it's a lie by a member who got pissed he didn't get his way. Didn't warrant a response by me.

No it isn't. You also sent a PM with ref links in it to a new member I traded with today, minutes after he signed up. Please don't lie, it's really pretty uncool.
Hopefully this is cleared up.

[quoted586dfda06="jeagle82"]I don't ever send ref links in a PM to new members. I send welcoming PMs to ask if anyone needs any help or has any questions that need answering. I talk about the possibility of doing some sites, but I never send links unless they are requested. That is not a lie. I don't know where all this ganging up on is coming from, but it really is ridiculous. I have followed the rules here to a T since day one.[/quoted586dfda06]
That is pm spam and you should have your pm ability suspended.
You can't PM someone welcoming them to FIPG? Or see if they have any questions? Well damn I was spammed alot when I started. shock

It's a new rule only in the last few weeks. I used to to send a quite nice and helpful welcome PM to new members but no more. (
Well, sorry, I wasn't aware of this. I thought PMing a welcome message to new members was fully allowed. Had I known it wasn't, then I wouldn't have done it. I'd still like to see where it says this, or hear it from a mod, because it seems like it's something that is allowed.
Yeah, that doesn't say anything about welcome PMs to newbies being forbidden, just says that including specific site links and setting up trades is prohibited. My point in case.

That's what I was lookin for, thanks BWB D
would you like me to post the screenshot here so everyone can see your lovely ref links? Now you ticked me off. I am having everyone I know report your links. I may just even contact some site owners since they are my friends. Don't be surprised if you go on hold. I wasn't going to do this, but you lied yet again....
EDIT decided to post it, mods if you want me to take this down let me know

I am not mean spirited, just apologize like I told you in the pm. I will look the other way on this, however it is up to these guys as well.
EDIT Let this serve as a lesson to all those who are spamming people via pm's. Even if the person posted a trade, and you send pm's such as this it is spamming. I got notice from a couple people, and they all say that numerous people are doing it. New users please read the rules. All of us are sick of spam.
Thanks for accepting my apology Powerbook. Won't make that mistake again!
It's fine man, don't do it again. Same goes for all you other guys.
