Paid him paypal while he was online... 3 days later and nothing. He didnt even signup. Started a Paypal claim. Stay away from this scammer.
EDIT Paypal decided in my favor but was unable to recover any funds.. either he withdrew it, or they froze it.

Did you setup a trade on FIG and Confirm it? Did you PM a Mod before making this topic? What methods have used to try and contact him?

Again, have you contacted a moderator about this prior to posting this?
3 days is not a long time. sometimes something comes up to prevent people from accessing the site or answering PMs, it is called "real life."
give the guy some time

When was your trade started? The 7th or so?
I too have a trade open with him and he isn't responding after payment was sent.

I agree that elitex's behavior is suspicious, but it's still too early to conclude that he's scamming.
If he doesn't return to the forum and clear things up by Monday, we'll ban him. But for now, the most productive thing to do is contact him and inform him that he needs to act quickly to keep his good standing.

I got a signup from a email==sinwha321@hotmail.comsinwha321@hotmail.com=sinwha321@hotmail.comsinwha321@hotmail.com/email. We'll see... the paypal claim is still pending though for my protection. If he greens, Ill stop it.

You mean if he doesn't green...
Is there a way to make a payment pending instead of instant? The only time I have seen pending is if I am transferring money to/from my bank account and to unconfirmed/non paypal members.
I'll also send him an e-mail at that address.

There isn't. We have discussed offering our users an escrow service extensively, but, unfortunately, the time and effort required to create it and the considerable financial risk to the account bearer have precluded us from developing it.

Did you set the trade up over IM or via PM here? We had some problems with the date and time database, but I'm showing that he hasn't been on the forum since the 9th.

Yes, he was banned.
This is a difficult situation because not even a week has passed since the first accusations, and it doesn't appear to be cut and dried. However, given his avoidance of this thread and of my attempts to contact him, we decided to ban him earlier than we normally would.
At this point, I would encourage everyone to file PayPal complaints and to report his reflink. If you're still in touch with him, tell him he can contact me if he's serious about getting this cleaned up.

Good thing I didnt pay him yet... he went green for me on a site, and then the fool responded to my thread again, by offering to go green for me... just showed that he didnt keep a very good record of his scamming...
Shame is, he went grey, so I didnt end up getting a free ref out of it (
if I paid this guy, that would have been my 5th time getting scammed over here... getting kinda tired of being ripped off!

Apparently we will be lucky if paypal does rule in our favor on this guy from what I am reading on the forums the likely outcome will be his funds will be seized but not given to the scammed. I am going to be making a very will thought out complaint tomorrow with screenshots and everything to try and prove my case that he neglected his commitment.
Man I wish there was a trusted 3rd party to hold money in trades, I know I wouldn't mind paying a $5 fee to the party per trade if it saves me from getting scammed out of $30.
