We setup a trade for YFF.com and Giftfiesta.nano about a month ago for $50 and he never greened for me. he gave me several excuses and reassured me that he will complete another offer that will be faster. After that last responds he never came back on. i just filed a dispute on paypal, but his account is unverified...

I paid him $35 to do my lcds.free4me about a month ago and he still isn't green. Now I have completely lost contact with him. He's also r/l friends with the notorious scammer Exile.

On the bottom of the main forum page it says whose online, and it also says everyone that logged on today i believe, and ive seen him on today, yesterday, this whole week. Opened a paypal dispute, maybe something will happen.
zulu342
06-04-2006 17:17:16
Did you pay him via credit card through Paypal? If so, just call your credit card company and do a chargeback. PayPal is useless in getting your money back. They'll more worried about covering themselves and getting the fees.

yep I paid him $25 to do my last ipod nan ref, i had to nag him to even just sign up. So, I told the guy to just give me my cash back he didn't reply back so(but he read it) So i just put in a claim with paypal to get my cash back. Yep he's a scammer. i've had 3 scammers from this site and i'm sick of them.

I paid using a credit card through Paypal -- if you did too, just call up your credit card company and tell them to put a chargeback on that amount -- it's not a problem.
PayPal tends to be more motivated to pursue people when it's their money on the line.
Hello mods?? Let's get this asshole out of here already.

Sorry guys.
He was last on the forum on Wednesday April 5th. I've PM'ed him and threatened him with his TR being dropped to -1, being banned from here and all of his accounts on the major and minor networks being placed on hold and reported for scamming.
I've told him to reply to me and this thread so I guess we now just have to wait and see if he reads it not.
JennyWren
08-04-2006 14:51:50
Should I go ahead an inform the site I did for him of his scam-atory behaviour? I signed up (but luckily didn't green yet) for his gear.free4me.net. Or do you have a way to contact all his sites? I can PM you his ref link if needed.
Thanks for looking in to this. This is why I don't pay people for sites!

No, paypal requires a full affadavit to be filed before they'll chargeback, but in my experience it is very successful. Paypal has alot of pull with the banks.
edit - I misunderstood. Yes, but if you chargeback with your credit card through paypal they may shut your account down (paypal)

08-04-2006 21:47:18
Paypal, will attempt to Recover your funds, They will not Refund your money!
Step 6 - Recover funds from seller
The buyer's claim has been granted but the seller did not have sufficient funds in his PayPal account to cover the refund. PayPal is working with the seller to recover funds on the buyer's behalf.
zulu342
08-04-2006 22:10:16
Ha! ... don't fall for PayPal's bullshit.
They will refund your money ONLY IF the scammer was dumb enough to not have withdraw the money from his PayPal balance.
If there is no money in the PayPal balance, they will not get it from the users bank account.

Ok, well he read my PM from two days ago but has yet to reply in this thread. Therefore he will promptly be banned, reported as being a scammer and have his TR dropped to -1.
If you paid him for greens then file a Paypal complaint immediately. If you went green for him then contact the site you did for him and ask for your green to be removed from it (unless it's Freepay as they won't do this).
Also, if you did any sites for him, report his links as being a scammer and give a link to this thread.

Roger that, he has also read my PM from the 6th of April and not responded. I've contacted his site that I did for him and sent them a link to this thread. I don't understand how someone can earn a 30TR then suddenly start scamming us all. Don't people get it that it's not worth scamming? You lose all power to get refs by trading. Maybe he was replaced by his evil twin.

He probably isn't worried about it, when you scam several people you know what the outcome will be, so he didn't scam until he was done with freebies.
I think when dishonest people like him are about to retire from the freebie scene they figure they can do a bunch of refs for cash and then run with the money without greening... if someone has such low integrity to scam their online freebie friends, they'll get what's coming to them.

So when I last left you people I believe it was about two weeks ago.. Yasmin is somewhat FORCING me to update right now, not that I have much to update about. Break is over and school starts tomorrow. I wrote my script for Film, its not bad, pretty good for something I did in 20 minutes.
My christmas was decent too, nothing special, no gift exchange or anything. It's fine with me though, I enjoyed it just as much. How were all of your Christmases? What about your New Years?? Mine was good too, spent the night talking with Vic, thats about it though. MY sister was out of town since Thursday and wasnt here so we couldnt hang out and party or anything. She got back today but I only saw her for 5 minutes after we(my mom and pa and I) got back from seeing Kong at aventura before she hit the sack and hasnt woken up since.
I'm using this new Semagic 1.5 thing fto update my LJ, its a hell of a lot nicer than Lochjournal was, not to mention Lochjournal hasnt been updated in over a year.. wow, its 2006, isnt it?? hmmmm oh well....
Oh, I DEMAND you all go to my deviant art... the url is... http//whatisntseen.deviantart.com
Yah, I think thats all for now really... please comment and more particularly critique my 'featured deviation' if you go.. and also, may you all have a good year, its only just begun so make the best of it.. I know I'll try.. for the first half atleast.

Regarding credit card chargebacks .... I called my credit card company (citi cards) and told them what happened. Most credit card companies have the policy of protecting you against fraud. By no means is it that simple. I will need to show them proof that I actually made the purchase -- in this case a PayPal receipt. The credit card company, probably through some collection agency, contacts the seller/merchant and asks for proof that they delivered the goods. It goes back and forth for a bit but ultimately, your card company is on your side. Can't say the same for PayPal.

Okay, so I did the tally. This is TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS.
Grand total is AT LEAST [bbb0fb006d7]$634[/bbb0fb006d7]
Guess what Andrew (who's lucky some MOD is looking out for you), You want to read this paragraph
"LARCENY—generally, the unlawful taking of the personal property of another without his consent and with intent to deprive him of the ownership or use thereof. This offense is defined by statute in practically all states and provinces and these statutory definitions differ somewhat. Generally, the theft is accomplished by stealth, and degree of turpitude is measured by the value of the personal property stolen—e.g., theft of less than $300 equals petit larceny, and [bbb0fb006d7]$300 or more equals grand larceny in Florida.[/bbb0fb006d7] "
See if you would have stolen less than $300, the police may not have cared as much. You jumped the bracket so you're going down.
[bbb0fb006d7]To everyone who got scammed by him, send me a PM. I will need your PayPal receipts to initiate the claim against Andrew Seraphin. [/bbb0fb006d7]
We may not get our money back, legal fees will probably take most of the settlement, but we're going to teach this one Andrew Seraphin and other potential scammers on this board a lesson they shall not soon forget.
These are the people Andrew Seraphin (alias whatisntseen) took advantage of

going through the legal system won't be very effective
we need someone local to show up and to set the record straight in person. Perhaps 2 adults in suits posing as investigators from like Paypal or a credit card company
Make it look real official, let him know of plans of police involvement... then take everything he has. TV's, video game systems, cash, computer, anything of value.
Yea...if only I lived in Florida

The legit trades that were real were put on hold because you guys reported them all. and yes, there were legitly done networks, not just sites, but networks. I cant remember which off the top of my head though. Point is, it wasnt intentional and you can post this on the board since I havve no clue if zulu did it like he was supposed to. Also, he may have bought other things that just haven't gotten eBay feedback yet)
$84.00 slim PS2 purchased 4/3/06
$13.84 shipping
$1.99 PS2 clear gray controller purchased 4/3/06
$8.00 shipping
$9.99 PS2 memory card 4/4/06
$5.95 shipping
$0.99 PS2 hdtv cable purchased 4/4/06
$5.85 shipping
$36.50 DVD burner purchased 4/9/06
$5 shipping
He bought at least $172.11 worth of ebay stuff within a week of stealing our money. (I paid him $25 on 4/2)
Also, he had bought a $234.98 subwoofer and a $169.90 universal remote just a couple weeks before. Nice paper trail, Andrew.

And FYI, when this thread first started and we started to make some progress, this new user on the board ThreatNET, IMed me and gave me reason to stop because ... "it'll be in vain" ... how I was just wasting my time ... the cops would never do anything. ThreatNet claims to be a "friend" of Andrew (a very good friend I might add to beg on his friend's behalf).
Anyway, I see that ThreatNet has a number of posts now and a rising TR rating. It might be just me but his actions lead me to believe he is Whatisntseen Jr.
So beware. I heard the PS3 is coming out and who'd want a crappy slim PS2 then?

Watch out I'm whatisntseen JR! Sorry for ever helping you get your greens back I see it wasn't appreciated so I guess now that you've got them it's okay to tear up my name. But for the others who may have gotten some greens I'm glad.. I was the little angel guiding over a naughty boy. You guys can think what you may, you always have chances of being scammed by whomever whether it be someone with a proxy or whatnot if you see my IP it's not a proxy and has been the same IP since I joined... Tomorrow there is a funeral for my uncle who past away, not an excuse for anything, but thanks for being a real prick zulu. Now I'm going to do some offers that have been put on hold from family coming down and living in my house and other bullshit.

I'm not satisfied until EVERYONE who got scammed by him is reimbursed or gets their green (that says gree).
Bribing the few vocal ones doesn't work. If you thought I can be bribed, you're wrong.
Why am I suspicious?
- You IM me on 4/23, brand spanking new user with no posts or TR
- In your AIM profile (and still in your profile), you have "<3 yasmin"
(Scroll down to 3rd pic http//www.teenspot.com/boards/showthread.html?t=233051 )
- Very very concerned friend but claims never to have met him, only know him through HALO
This is just very suspicious don't you agree? If you are not Andrew, you're probably a close personal friend of his. Hey, you might be the angel you proclaim yourself to be ... if so, good for you. I'm merely passing what I know to others.
And your last statement, my condolences if true. But in the scammer handbook which I have in front of me, page 52 line 17 says pull the death/sickness in the family card when needed to divert suspicion and gain sympathy and pity.
Have a good one!

Back from the funeral Me I'm not Andrew as I'm white.. and no freaky ass hair. Also if I know andrew isn't it possible to know Yasmin?
Edit Pics too large
If you think I'm pulling the death card again I say to you that you are a prick I don't need sympathy from anyone and no one's giving it to me Honestly I don't care what happens or what you think What's done is done and I was trying to help which probably caused more problems So there you go I guess your satisfied. Also more proof is in brag bag you see that I'm white ^^

Still in scam mode for most of us.
