mutiger08 is his name.

He signed up for this forum 2 days ago. Only made 1 post. No TR. I did background check on him with his user name and referral link (google and here).

I started a trade with him. He IMMEDIATELY got credit and claims he signed up for Ancestry.com.

Isn't ancestry.com impossible to get credit for unless you pay the $200 membership?

I wouldn't be so questionable if it werent for that offer. I'm afraid he will cancel the offer and go red on me. Any comments/ideas?

Don't trade with people with 1 post and 0 TR?

When you said, "He IMMEDIATELY got credit and claims he signed up for Ancestry.com," does that mean you went green for him first?

You guys aren't supposed to trade unless one of you has 4 or 5 TR (forgot which). In any case, you did the trade, he greened so you have to pay him or go green for him...

That's not true. You can trade with whomever you want, you just won't get credit for it.

Way to state the obvious.

Yeah I know I have to green for him now. Just seems a little weird that eh signed up for ancestry.com. I always thought that was an offer of doom.

Well, worst scenario is I go green for him, I request approval a week from now, and his gets rejected because he cancelled the ancestry.com offer.

Ahhh well.

Anyhow, I just wanted your opinions on the offer being ancestry.com

Thanks.

What site did he do? On a few sites i've seen ancestry.com as a free 30-day trial. And yes it credit instantly.

unless ancestry has changed i thought it was a free offer and u just call and cancel. I got credit in like 3 days from them.. but that was 2 years ago.

those people at ancestry are such BITCHES. I could understand if the service was great, but its a rinky dink operation, and a crappy website, and when you call in they ignore your comments and try to steer you into letting them look up your family, and it's like bitch, I should be able to do this myself, not have to call in and have you do it. Your site sucks now give me my goddamn money. I thought I'd be getting something great for 200 dollars. I really did.

Ancestry was one of the best and easiest offers I've ever done
