He can't access this site for some reason, and neither he, the Admin nor I have any idea why. We have tried to fix it but so far it hasn't worked, so if anyone has a trade with him (me cry ), then you know that he hasn't done a runner.
Hopefully he will be able to get in soon. If you are trading with him and have concerns or questions, you can either ask them in here or PM me.
[quote758a92058b]Frank,
This is ilanbg on FIG. I can't seem to log into my username, even after resetting my password. When I mistype it, I'm asked to check my password, but when I type it correctly I'm just brought to the main forums, still logged out.
I don't suppose you could help, could you? I couldn't access the forums for at least an hour earlier; I don't know if the problem will fix itself, but if it won't could y'help me out?
Thanks.

have him check his firefox extensions too maybe?? shrug
maybe also check the cookie domain & path that's configured for phpbb if he hasnt been in since the downtime this weekend?? shrug i have seen phpbb lock out people when this wasn't set correctly (but it was also related to stale cookies in their browser too).

I'm back! I'm using Camino now.
Any idea why I can't log in using Firefox or Safari?
And agroman, sorry to say I have no idea what that means.

well, the second item was for the board admins to check.
are you certain you cleared the cookies in firefox?
Tools -> Options -> click on Privacy button -> then click on the Cookies tab -> click the View Cookies button
Search through the list for cookies from freeipodguide.com and remove them (hilight them and click the Remove Cookie button).
This will leave the cookies for other sites (freepay, trainn, etc).

Well, considering I had never logged into FIG before today with Firefox, I find it unlikely that this was the cause (but in case it is, how do you clear cookies for Firefox on a Mac?). I always use Safari (who's cookies I've emptied multiple times).

I tried accessing FIG with Firefox to see if it was a browser issue or not, and couldn't access it from there either. But that was the first time I had tried logging in using Firefox, and I don't know how to clear cookies on Mac's version of Firefox.
Meh, I hate Camino.

I got an email from a user who couldn't log in yesterday. He uses IE on a Win XP machine and DSL. He was able to login while at work (on a MAC) but not at home on the Winbox.

Yeah as did I. His username is mistertomlinson and he couldn't get in either, so I asked him to try a few things but I haven't heard from him yet.

For the cookies to properly unset you have to close ALL open browser windows AFTER you delete cookies and THEN log in again.
