rem8701 = SCAMMER!
cyberpunk243

Not sure if this is the same guy as fishbitrate. I have been talking to TSJ and I think he said that they were the same although after reading through that scammer thread, this one has a different paypal address. Here is my message that I sent to TSJ so I don't have to explain it again.
[quotefa7d4cba60]Alright, here is the story. I responded to rem8701's trade post and we did a trade where I paid him $20 via Paypal for a digitalcameras ref from Freepay. I had to go first because he had a higher TR. I paid him on November 22, 2005 and according to the trade module, he last updated it on November 27. 2005 which I think is when he did his offer. He has yet to go green for me. I contacted him via a PM on the 27th, asking him what offer he did and he responded the same day stating that he did the REPOCAR.com offer. I responded the same day just saying thanks and to this day he has yet to read that PM. I have been waiting for a while and decided to PM him on December 7th, saying that it has been a while and I was wondering if he could go ahead and submit for a manual credit. He hasn't read that one either. I sent an e-mail to his e-mail address that he signed up for my offer under and it came back saying he was not a member of their (Comcast, I assume) company. I then sent him an e-mail to his Paypal account but still no response. He has only posted twice in this forum but he had good feedback which is why I traded with him. I PM'ed johnjimjones because he was one of the people that left feedback for rem8701, and he said that rem8701 used a different e-mail address to do his offer but of course used the same Paypal. His name from Paypal is Robert David but that is all the information that I know. Since I paid him, I can't get his account put on hold or anything so I am at a loss. Hopefully it will go green without me having to deal with him anymore but I heard REPOCAR.com has been requiring manual credit. Alright, I have made this long enough.[/quotefa7d4cba60]
I waited to see if he would go green today and he didn't. He has yet to respond to any of my messages via both e-mail and PM. His paypal address is email==fungullo@hotmail.comfungullo@hotmail.com=fungullo@hotmail.comfungullo@hotmail.com/email.
Any suggestions on what I can do to get even with this guy or perhaps get my money back? Anyone know for sure if this is the same guy as fishbitrate or has anyone had the same problems with this guy? I wish I knew more information about him so I could give him hell but I only know the name he signed up for Paypal with. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am 99.9% sure that fishbitrate, rem8701 and deopro101 are all the same person.
If anyone has had any kind of trade with either of these people, then file a Paypal complaint if you paid either of them, or contact the site you did for them and ask for your referral to be removed from his account.

Okay, I also traded with "rem8701" w/ the same paypal address. I am currently in the process of a Paypal complaint. An e-mail was sent to him and he responded, but couldn't provide any evidence to refute my claim. So let's see how this goes...

He did an offer for me. Hasn't turned red yet but I haven't cashed out. What's the Paypal procedure for filing a complaint? I want to do this right so this guy doesn't get away. I'm out $25 right now.
His paypal email= is email=fungullo@hotmail.comfungullo@hotmail.com is email=fungullo@hotmail.comfungullo@hotmail.com/email
and the email= he signed up under was email=rem8701@box.msrem8701@box.ms he signed up under was email=rem8701@box.msrem8701@box.ms/email.

Login to Paypal, click on the "Resolution Center" tab, then "File a Claim", Continue, enter the transaction ID, on the next page choose "Virtual Good." In the comments section I explained that I paid for a "green", but didn't get it for my $25, so I never recieved the promised "product."

When it says "Where did you make your purchase?" What should I put? digitalcameras.freepay.com?
cyberpunk243
13-12-2005 13:11:17
Alright for the website of purchase, I just put freeipodguide.com since this is where I set up the transaction. It is filed and he has until the 23rd to respond or it will be decided in my favor. Whatever that means. I bet he responds to this! Fucking dick.

Yeah, he responded in only a couple hours to mine. I also put FiPG as the place of purchase.

13-12-2005 14:12:18
Has he turned red for the both of you?
He hasn't for me, still shows green, but do you think it would be possible for Alan to check now if his ref will pass through?
ajasax
13-12-2005 14:22:55
He went green for me at first (that's why I sent him Paypal). It lasted about a couple days, then one day I checked greenreporter and it showed up as red. Btw, the site he did for me was yourfreevideoipods.
hehehhehe
13-12-2005 15:34:48
Actually, we're better off filing a chargeback with the credit card company. That way, Paypal might lose money so they'll freeze his funds. It'll be at least 75 days before he gets the money back (if he gets to keep it, which I doubt).
Given the fraud and the amount he's been scamming, he'll probably get in trouble if fraud prevention at one of the companies act.

yes, but filing a chargeback is against paypal's terms isn't it? Which means you = screwed.

I don't think it is.

No, of course not. You can read the details on their site. They have to cooperate with the cc company. You do have to close the paypal dispute though, you can't have both going on at once.

So NOW he responds?!? Oh, and he never greened for me at all. He just wouldn't respond to my messages from the ways that I tried to contact him but I had to pay him first because he had a higher TR. I would give anything right now to know his information such as his phone number, address, kids names (if any)! I would scare the shit out of him.

I was hoping he just REALLY wasn't checking his mail or something and that was the reason he wasn't responding, but now I know it was all dreams considering he responded right away to this Paypal dispute. MAKES ME SO MADDD!!!! Let's kill him kdollar, what do you say?

I know, and I didn't think you were serious.
But it was definitely straying towards territory that could be used against you when you want to go against this guy later.

Yeah I would wait. You never know. He may have actually completed an offer LEGITIMATELY like most people.
theysayjump
13-12-2005 21:48:03
Even if he did complete a legit offer/trade, that doesn't mean that he can't request for his referral under your account to be removed.
Although maybe if you speak to Trainn about it, and he did do a legit offer, then maybe you could ask them if there is any chance that if he does try that, could they just kind of ignore him or something. shrug
johnjimjones

Yeah I could/should. Its really hard get flashipods4free referals, but I'll pay the extra $5 per referal to make sure they're legit.

I put mine as tangible object because he was supposed to send me an item in DHL overnight so that the trade would be tangible and he could provide tracking while at the same time do my green. He didn't, and therefore cannot provide tracking.
johnjimjones
14-12-2005 08:00:45
By tangible object overnight do you mean the iPod from flashipods (did you mention that?) because that's what I was doing too, he was my last one before I got the 2gb nano.
