Newbie here looking to get started

Hello everybody,

I'm completely new to the this stuff. I have been reading this forum as well as several others for the past week and I'm ready to get started.

Is there any experienced traders here who want to show me the ropes?

What do I need to do in order to stay safe and not get ripped off? How do I protect my credit card when signing up for trials, etc... Should I create a new email address to use when signing up for trials, etc... What about my Paypal account, how do I keep it safe?

As far as protecting your card/bank account watch your statements closely! It always helps to use a card that lets you view your bill online.

"Virtual numbers" are numbers which are only good for one charge. Do you see any problems there?

I've been reading up on the rules, and checked out some reviews...and I think I'm ready to slowly get started with this thing. I do need a little help/advice from some experienced peeps, though. I'm quite concerned about keeping my paypal/creditcard info safe, especially since most of the sites require a credit card. What do you experienced people do? Also, how do you avoid signing up for credit card offers? I'm not the kind of person that keeps more than one credit card, and I don't like to damage my credit rating by constantly applying for them. What do you suggest? Any help would be appreciated.
