PS the reason i can PROBABLY do yfvi is because i've been in a few trades for over a month now with noobs who fell off the face of the earth and didn't complete their end of the trade. assuming one of them doesn't come back from the dead and go green for me, i'm good for yfvi.

I would rather be scammed out of a green than scammed out of cash. I don't think that is the reason. I think some people are being lazy, and others just don't want to sign up for anymore sites. Easier to pay then go through the steps, and having to cancel something.
