WEBSITE trade

I've been noticing that a lot of people have more than one ipod on here, and since I still haven't gotten my one - and I don't think that I ever will - I was hoping someone would trade me one for something.
I don't have much to offer, so I fear - and I sorta expect - for nobody to respond, but just in case.
I can build you a complete website, everything you will need. Usually people charge hundreds of dollars for these (and I know because normally I build them and sell them for $500+). It'll be completly customized to whatever it is you'd like. Just name it and it's yours.
If someone has one that maybe they're not using because they got a photo one or something, or would like to make a trade of a different sort, this would really be great.
If you're interested, you can contact me through AIM or PM. Thanks!

Oh, sorry, I didn't see the seperate rules for the trading section, I only saw the ones on the main page.

well now you know D
Its also advised you trade with high TR members, it will not only protect yourself but help you get TR (trade records) yourself

I don't understand why you'd make a website for someone worth $500+ for a ref. Why not build a website for someone for $500, take the money and buy a 60GB ipod and still have a $100 left?
Weird...

I think he wants to trade a site for an actual ipod

Ah ok. Even in that case, my questions still stands. Why build a website worth $500+ for something worth $300. You get my point. wink
Can we see your portfolio? I actually have someone now that needs a site done for $250 lol.

Do you have a portfolio?

I guess I should have mentioned that, but yes I was wanting to trade the site for an actual IPOD.
I'm a freelancer, and there are lots of "wanna be" website design freelancers out there, so it's been tough to find a "gig".
Here are the links to my portfolio(s). The first one is the one I did, the second is what I did with two friends -

Sorry for the confusion.

If you did print-ads for safeway, pepsi, cnbc and hyundai, you should be doing well and should get at least get couple of Ks for even a basic website...
So I take it that your two friends are the ones at the fadedcanvas website. Where are you?
I don't understand your comment about the "wanna be" designers though. If you have a good portfolio, you shouldn't have any problems beating out the wanna-bes. It seems like the bulk of your experience lies in banner ads.

Yes, lots is banner ads, but that's only the begining.
The thing is is that I freelance, this isn't my career. So, actually finding a job that hasn't already been applied to 100 times by fakes and other legit freelancers is hard to come by.
Oh, and that one is just some friends that I helped out. I've worked with them before, and I just showed that link to show that I can do things that style, instead of the more professional websites from the first one.
Thanks!

I think that one was deleted because I'm an idiot and didn't notice the seperate rules for the trading forum.
But, I'll worry about that one in 5 days.
