Just signed up and...

I have been getting lots of AIM msgs within the first hour. I did the poker thing that is on the trade section, which is the reason I signed up, and he is a great guy and that deal went perfectly.

But after that I soon began getting AIM msgs from everyone and there mother about doing trade deale-o's. And I had to turn down one offer and did another, which was signing up for netflix's. So the offer is pending but the guy offered me 20$ when it turns green and I checked him out and he seems reliable, his name is sweeedfish on the forums.

But I got this one offer from a guy to directly trade "instants" for his digital camera and my ipod site. He wanted me to place out 6$ so it was differant to me then a free trial. So I looked him up and he did not have the two trades he said and could not find him in the Good Trading list through search. Well I said if he goes first I will do it exactly afterwards and he got mad and called me names. I do not know if this is normal, but I do not like it.

wow, that shit would piss me off. definitely wouldn't trade with that guy, probably a scammer fuck.

Yeah, I recommend sticking with PM, particularlly if you're new. Too many people posing as somebody else to be worth it. Personally what I did is remove the AIM from my profile and have anyone who wants to contact me through that send me a PM first.

And note that you can look at your results by posts if you use the search function in the "Display results by" part, so you can look up where someone is in the GTL. Which he isn't.

He pulled some other stupid shit in the off topic forum.

I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience. Please don't let it turn you off to the forum in general. There are alot of great people on here, who are more than willing to help each other with tips and experiences. Trading here generally goes very smoothly if you stick to the rules. Trading with reputable traders is very important, especially for new members. Good luck!

I had a chat with him tonight.. and he ending our conversation much of the same way.
I can't say he is a bad guy, but he definitely should have ended the conversation that way.
