yea they changed it now because some morons apparently dont see it to click, and then complain that they dont receive credit. this system seems more efficient.

I am one of the "morons" who did not click the button and now i am running into some problems. I completed the travelers advantage offer on the 15th but was new to offer centric sites and didnt realize i needed to hit that button. I realized my mistake the next day and i went back to click it. I emailed offercentric with a forward of the confirmation letter i got from travelers advantage. I thought that would take care of it but today they replied to me with this....

Hello,

We're sorry but clicking the button is part of our fraud verification. We
make it very clear that if you do not click the button youwill not receive
credit. We will not make any exceptions to this rule.

So now what do i do!? Does this mean that the button must be clicked immediately after completing an offer? I did click it, just the following day. Has anybody else had this problem and did you end up receiving credit???

hmm, that doesn't make any sense, because I would think it doesn't matter when you click it, as long as you click it sometime. That looks like a canned response and they really didn't read into your question. I think you will receive credit

i think they might have misunderstood you...

Just wanted to dispel these rumors about the completion button. The button has nothing to do with determining if you get offer credit or not, this is done by the advertiser when they report to the ad networks that the offer you completed is valid. When doing this they pass along your user id and the offer id which lets us know to credit you.

The current purpose of the button is three fold. First, it lets us keep statistics on aprox how many offers were done while we are waiting to get actual numbers from the advertisers. Second, it lets us change the user interface to show you which offers you've done which are pending and third it lets us know how long a user has been waiting to receive offer credit.

It's not currently required to use the button but there's no reason not to. If that button determined offer credit it wouldn't take more than a day for there to be 100 posts on forums like this of people who figured out that there was a relationship between getting credit and the button.

If your still not convinced, create a user poll asking how many people clicked the button and still got offer credit.[/quote41e1ae43e3]

The above response was to me in the "Notebook Received!!!" thread started by bonnie08734 in their OC forum.

I CANNOT believe this! shock

It sounds like we are getting conflicting information then. The guy told me that it was necessary to click the button or NO credit will be given but they seem to have told you that it isnt really needed. Now i dont know what to think.

abrock, I think they may have misunderstood you. I'd suggest rephrasing your question to them and asking it again.

yeah i sent another email that will hopefully get a response tomorrow....well technically later today.......I really dont see why it would make a difference if you complete an offer and hit the button right away or a day or 2 later. I guess i'll find out though.

Assuming abrock is on the level, no matter how he asked the question, the response from Offercentric is unambiguous

The only thing in question here, is if the email is real.

Unbelievable.....

That doesn't exactly refute their previous statement though.....
