Hello,
I was wondering, what camera are you gonna choose? Personally, I think I will go for the Canon S1 IS
The cameras available are
Canon S1 IS
Sony DSC-P100
Sony DSC-W1
Canon A95
I don't know what is the best one and which one is the most expensive... But probably someone will seek for that ;)

May I ask, why would you choose that one?

DSC-W1 is what I want too. Looks cool. Unfortunately 30 yellows, no greens.

i actually bought the dsc-p100, when i was choosing them i choose the dsc-p100 over the W1, if you actually got to see the W1 its a freakin large camera, no where near pocket size.
if your prioritys are pocket size then dsc-p100 (its a nice camera, personal experience, like a 2-3 sec boot time D )
if you want zoom go for the Canon S1 IS very nice camera if i must say, large though, 10x optical zoom, you dont want digital
if you want a ok sized camera while keeping in mind a very nice one, get the a95
since i already own the dsc-p100 (spent $300 -_-) i would choose either the S1 IS or the A95, both sound really tempting right now, i would like more zoom from my cameras)

Im choosing the S1 as well... It received the highest rating on Cnet out of the 4 and is also the most expensive out of the 4... It says you can zoom in on a jet and snap a clear photo, even though I dont need that much zooming capability, it's nice to have... Im willing to loose a lil bit of quality for a cool feature, and I like the fact that I could turn the screen to take pictures of myself... And it looks high tech and cool...

I'd choose the money. You can buy ANY of the offered cameras for less than the amount of money they'll send you. Plus, it then opens up the field to other cameras as well.
I am about to order my camera and believe that I will be choosing the s1 IS because of the optical zoom and image stabilization. I also am waiting on 1 referral to turn completed and I will be getting the 512mb CF card as their bonus gift.

Is this a Type 1 or Type 2 card?

the only problem w/ sony cameras i have heard is that they use memory sticks. So in the future if you use a camera that doesnt use memory sticks you need to buy a new memory card. But if i were u i would go to a best buys ot circuit city and see what they tell you about the cameras
its always best to see it yourself
yeah, memory sticks are definitely a pain. I got the S1 and I'm very happy with it.

yes the S1 IS is VERY nice, only down sides are....
1. Very big[/size39a5423de5]
2. for some possibly not 3.2 (i think or 3.3) MP isnt enough

A95 is the best of the cameras, but cash is the best prize on the site.

Don't know what you trust, but I trust Cnet.com, and A95 smoked the competition. Also, someone already mentioned that Sony uses Sony-only USB sticks, which are not compatible with any non-Sony hardware (obviously).
Either way, cash > camera.
