finally approved on notebooks4free

I finally got approved today for notebooks4free! Over 1700 yellows, 18 greens and 2 reds.

I have some sites with some decent traffic, so I just added a small "free laptops" link from there.

I think I joined notebooks4free when it first came out (I think about a year ago).

After I joined and saw that it required 18 referrals, I just sorta put up the link, blogged about it, and forgot about it for awhile since I thought it was pretty impossible.

After a few months, I checked back and I had a few greens. Still not double digit greens, so it seemed pretty far away.

I think once I hit 12 greens, I started seeing some potential, and there was a few weeks there where I would get a green a week out of nowhere.

As others have posted, the last two seem the hardest to get for a variety of reasons (smaller subset of offers, increased anxiety because the laptop or cash seems so close, harder to forget about it once you're that close, so you check it even more often).

Now I just have to remember all where I posted the link so I can take down the link.

That's how I got my iPod from Gratis/Freepay back in Sep 04. A link got posted somewhere and a week later, I had 5 greens. Of course, i didn't get the iPod till Dec. 7th 2004.

Wishing my mp3players4free account would find it's way of getting two more greens. I would love to complete this last OC site and be done with them.

I just had my last ref do his offer. Well... My other last ref. My last last ref never got credit for his offer. lol

Hopefully I can get this done once and for alll.

It's nice, but my heart is still set on the one from Averatec for some reason....don't know why though.

why does OC have much better laptops and all for only 18 refs, while freepay has resonable ones for 20 refs? even with OC's oods, where does the money thing balance out?

It's 10 times harder to complate a OC site compared to a Gratis one.

If NB4F were a Gratis site, I'd have had my laptop long ago. (

It wasn't like it was a random lost site somewhere ) Just one of my own websites.

I already switched the link to a different OC site (yeah, I know...I'm probably pushing my luck ) ) But I've done most of the gratis sites and the ones I haven't finished seem like they're actually taking longer than notebooks4free (like minimacs.freepay)

I'd say probably about a week or so.

I love my new iBook
