Ummm Saints? Jason David looks like a nice addition to Mike "Hair" McKenzie. Plus Reggie is going to be used on running plays up the gut as opposed to stretches and sweeps, and he may even return kickoffs.
I hate how people make a big deal out of pre-season football. It is the pre-season, your 1st team either plays with all the big play makers out, or plays one series - so then it becomes who has the best second or third string team.
On another note Lance Moore looks amazing on kickoff and receptions.
Thursday night when the Saints come to the RCA Dome, it is going to be a damn good game. I hope the Colts fixed their run defense, and can stop the pass missing most of their secondary.

He is a great athlete, always humble, always a good sport after a tough loss never blaming a bad call, he has one of the strongest work ethics in pro football, who wouldn't want this guy as their quarterback.
I do root against the colts sometimes, but I never get upset seeing peyton succeed.

Peyton is not a one man team...just because he doesn't play doesn't mean the colts automatically are going to play bad.
Just like how Grossman's embarrassing turnovers and fumbled snaps didn't lose us the game, we still can win with our defense and the rest of our offensive game.

Yeah, Peyton Manning while a great player, does not win the game for them...a good QB is nothing without good blocking, receivers, etc...The Bears played a great game against the colts despite Grossman and his damn fumbles, but his % is rediculous right now in his first 2 pre-season games 8 for 10 and 9 for 11. As long as he gets his fundamental mistakes outta the way he will be one of the top QBs in my opinion, and the Bears are going to tear things up even more than they did last year.

Great game if you're a Colts fan, Mellencamp played before the game started. Colts defense looked really impressive, only allowing 3 points, other 7 were from a fumble returned for a TD.

well when you have a corner who played Cover 2 his whole career he is taught to read the QBs eyes in Cover 2. When you play Man to Man you are supposed to follow the receiver only.

Yeah, you can't really blame Jason David, aside from the fact of being used to one play style, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison are 2 of the best receivers and with Mannings passing it can't be the easiest thing to guard those 2. He didn't even get burned by that much, all they needed was 1 step on him and Manning always got the ball in there. The colts did play a great game though, can't wait to see the Bears and Chargers on Sunday, now that is going to be a game.

that was an awesome game. The bills offense sucked they only put 3 on the board despite getting 5 turnovers from Romo. Once again the cowboy's defense allows less points than the week before.

the vikings tried to kick a 57 yard field goal at the end of the half and the kick was just short, antonio cromartie for the chargers caught it at the back of the end zone (with about 2 inches left to spare) and took it back 109+ yards. it will definitely be the #1 play of the weekend.
so instead of minnesota possibly going up 10-7, they are now down 14-7 and their coach may have them all castrated.

I was kinda upset the colts lost, but I really think they aren't showing that much of themselves this season. Come december they will still have their trick plays to go with their 2nd place record and hopefully a healthy marvin harrison.

I think Eli will be able to knock off the PATS. Most of his interceptions (some are his fault) are happening because his receivers arent on the same page as him. I think the last few weeks of the season they will come together finally and be able to beat the damn pats.

Yep, had we shut down Witten, it wouldn't have even been a game. But then again, had we gotten a TD when we had 1st and Goal, or had we not missed that field goal, or got a TD instead of a field goal another time... Witten wouldn't have even mattered. The Lions are better than last year, and are showing sparks of being a good team, but the Cowboys shouldn't have had a problem with us.

I sure hope so. I think Marinelli's a great coach. He's going to squeeze a 6-10 season out of a 3-13 team. It all hinges on the draft and free agency - if management lets him go out and get the guys he wants, I think they'll be in great shape in a couple years.

Just what I saw of him, he seemed to drop the ball too much to be the possession 3rd down receiver they need him to be -- reminds me much of Marques Colston of the Saints, a big, tall, physical receiver with excellent hands.

Did anybody watch the broncos/cheifs game yesterday. Talk about domination. The broncos scored over 40 poitns against them. Jay Cutler was 20-27 with 0 interceptions and 4 touchdowns. I am telling you guys the broncos are finally coming together. If the defense finally steps up we might....big MIGHT... have a chance to mess some things up in the playoffs. All we have to do is win out the rest of the year.
And by the way. I would take Jay Cutler over Romo any day. Id say that Brady is 1st. Peyton 2nd...Favre 3rd...Cutler 4th...and then Romo.

The Giants? I think thats another story. The Packs called the giants dirty, then Rodney Harrison(of all people) called them dirty as well. This a guy who got caught with HGH. This a guy who was voted dirtiest player in the league a few season ago...calling a team dirty. lol
Anyways, Week 1 vs the Jets, the Pats sat there with a big camera and videotaped the Jets sidelines stealing signals and taping what they can. Mangini, the Jets coach, caught them and informed the league.

do any of you actually care about steroids in sports? I personally could give a crap... I mean, we all know you're juicing, and if you're okay with the image that gives yourself, then who cares? It makes a more fun game to watch with more homeruns, more power pitching, stronger, faster athletes and everything else... Since we watch sports to be entertained, does it really matter to us if these guys juice? Not to me ;)

Yes. How long did the single season HR record stand until Mcgwire and Sosa broke it. How long till the career HR record stand till Bonds broke it. Its not fair to the old timers who broke the records without illegal drugs. Its not fair to the fans who want to see a clean sport. Its not fair to the players out there who are clean and are outstanding players, only to be shadowed by steroids. Im glad Congress is stepping in to clean this up.

I agree with all your points, I understand the morality of the issue, and I respect your opinions, but personally, if I were put on that new Liar show on FOX, and they asked me, "do you really think steroids should be illegal in sports today?" I would have to say NO because personally, as a sports fan and a sports enthusiast, I just want to be entertained, and steroids are making the game more entertaining. However, alternately, I love lifting weights and improving my body and trying to get huge, and I WOULD NEVER DO THEM. I just think that their presence in sports make the sport itself more exciting... I know, it may not be the most responsible thing i've ever said, but it all boils down to this for me If athletes want to unintelligently ruin their joints, muscles and bodies for the sake of our enjoyment, then more power to them.

Good representation this year for the Northeast. I go to school in NY, so you can just imagine how happy people were. D The celebrations actually made me happy even though the team I like lost.
