I hate them, one of them isnt a real picture. your lens is broken and all you see is black with some trees. get a better skill.





jay kay betch. But seriously like the first one, I dunno how you did it but I would assume macro. Is it a hairy caterpillar or those cottonwood seeds?

I didn't use a specific lense for macro shots, but I did use my stock lense for the D80, zoomed into 55mm. My aperture was 5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/50 and I got as close as I could and manually focused until that's all that was in focus.

I don't consider my pictures awesome, but thanks anyway.

And yes you can take awesome pictures, you just need to have an eye for it, and the great thing about photography is that it's not something you have to be born with, you can learn and train and practice to be good or great at it. Greatness can be cultivated.

Frank, if you think you love the depth of focus effect shooting at f/5.6, do yourself a favor and pick up the 50mm f/1.8. It is sooo much fun when you can nail the focus at f/1.8.
