Picked up the Nikon D40 today with the 18-55 and 55-200 VR lenses. I'm pretty busy this week but hopefully I'll get a chance to take some shots on the weekend. Glad I got UV filters because my cat already tried to drool on my lens.

^^Same. Like the lantern festival pics. Here in NM, we call them
luminarias[=http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminarias]luminarias. During the holiday season, there are entire neighborhoods decorated with these. That flower one was pretty creative though! I'll have to take some pics of my own this winter wink
