Does anyone know if our pods come w/ warranty??

Yeah, supposedly the HP version comes with a longer warranty - but they all have a standard warranty.

My post disappeared. How weird. The Apple iPods come with the standard 90-day limited warranty and the HP iPods come with the standard 1-year unlimited warranty. Just because we get them for free doesn't mean Gratis doesn't pay the fullli price for them. Gratis orders the iPods from eCost or PCMall who are certified resellers of Apple iPods so you get a normal Apple iPod with everything just like if you were to buy it in a store.

Right from Apple's Web site Every iPod comes standard with 90 days of phone support and ONE YEAR of hardware service coverage. Phone support is totally different than a warranty.

hahha sorry, it's okay. ) no offense taken. i know there is a search but i was just in a rush for quick answers rather than looking through millions of entries. again, admins can delete this. i dont want to be wasting bandwidth.

thought apple warrenty was a year as well. they just charge you phone call support and shippin if u want to send it in to check it out. thats the reason why i went with hp.

How could they charge you for phone support if it's a toll free number?

Credit card and bill the time. If you get Apple's extended warranty you get unlimited phone support for 2 years

There's a page on apple.com's page with a toll free support #, isn't that the same thing? I think it's riduculous charging someone for service.

i believe its free for the first call and everything after that they charge you.

Apparently they used to charge only after 90 days; but so many people called with idiotic questions that could be answered in the help file or online, that they limited it.
How often do you need telephone support? I've had my iMac for three years and never had to call Apple. I think that's something PC users are used to or something...

Haha. True but they could atleast just issue them to the online support or read the FAQ's instead of charging. I think they make enough money already.. no need to charge more..... the battery replacement is alot itself already..

Heh, I'll have to call HP when I get home today and ask for repairs on my iPod cry . Anytime my volume goes more than halfway up the volume scale, some of the songs sound heavily distorted.
