Ok so the colors are all really nice and all that
when playing a dvd, there is some minor ghosting on dvds such as Pirates of the Carribbean but its liveable.
CS, well if you must play it you can but i wouldn't really recommend it just cause the ghosting is really noticable, especially if your a good player (aka fast motion)
Other games? Haven't tried but i wouldn't recommend it just cuase CS can get bad enough as it is.
But overall this moniter is a beauty, easy to set up, bright colors, and works flawlessly for normal net surfing and such.

Yeah I played WOW and the ghosting is pretty bad compared to my Dell 1800FP LCD.

Ghosting is like you kinda see a trailing shadow when things move around. Kind of like that slow motion effect. It occurs due to a slow response speed.

I think the Samsung is still a better monitor, because of the much better response time. The extra two inches are nice, but not worth it, IMO.

i am really really happy with my 17" samsung. honestly, this thing seems so much bigger than my 17" CRT anyway, I couldnt imagine what a 19" monitor looks like.

Response Time 25 ms = Ghosting
Response Time 16 ms and Under = No Ghosting

ok i just tried command and conquer generals
No ghosting, and i was playing online too where all the action is at. Though being Nuked and Mig firestorms there wern't any ghosting. Its also akward cuase i notice my computer seems faster with this moniter, it may be just me though.

i play(ed) starcraft and midnight club 2 on my samsung and it has NO ghosting... i like this monitor because i can switch it from internet mode to gaming mode (gaming mode is more vibrant, but too vibrant for regular 'internet' use)
so yea the 17" is big enough for me )

If you play CS your probably better off with the samsung, you can notice a decent amount of ghosting with the sony one. I mean its livable for me but i dunno about those hardcore cs players
