my friend never got confirmations emails, and got popups advertising a freegiftplanet.com that took her to a fake site. so we're trying to figure out where the pop up came from. or if there have been anything like this so far.
Are you assuming you're paid for every new thread you start?

go to download.com and search for 'ad-aware' and 'spybot'. download and run them both. see if that clears anything up.

Use FF to check the site, it makes the URL bar yellow when the site is real (plus the little lock), also look closely at the URL, they might change an i for an L.. 0 or o, etc.

nigga, who cares ignore pop ups, ghet a pop up blocker and that pop up came from someone thats bored at home and knows alot about html and that kinda shit, its really simple to put a pop up on any site expecially on that free ipods site, and how are u in deep shit if a pop up came up??? confused

FYI you can know a lot about HTML and still not be able to make popups - that's javascript.
