Here are some games and stuff. It has some nice info on it.

http//psp.ign.com/

Here is a faq on IGN-

http//psp.ign.com/articles/513/513175p1.html#specs

I've heard these things can pick up wireless network connections(like from your house or an airport) and play online against someone across the world. And it can also identify other PSP's in the area and link with them like the Nintendo DS.

These things have smooth nice graphics and polygons, by far the best so far out of any handheld.

Even if you aren't a gamer they are awesome to have. You can put movies on them-

http//www.engadget.com/entry/1234000980024404/

And they can hold pictures on them and audio(they can take the MP3 format).

All I can say is I can wait to get this thing! This is 100 times better than the DS.

If you have anything else to add, feel free. Have I convinced anyone to sign up yet? lol

yeah, Nintendo really screwed up with the DS. By the way - Gratis isn't providing memory sticks, one is included with the system. We are getting some kind of 'value bundle' that includes some stuff. Anyone got the info on what exactly is included?

I don't think that we get the games either, just a non-playable demo CD. And possibly a UMD of spiderman 2 the movie

Ok, I'll put it at the top. Is this imported? Does it matter if it's imported?

From psp.ign.com FAQ

The North American PSP Package includes the PSP hardware, the AC adapter, one battery pack (1800mAh), a Memory Stick Duo unit (32MB, standard Duo but not PRO Duo rated), PSP earbud headphones with Remote Control, PSP soft case with hand strap, a cleaning cloth, and a UMD sampler disc with non-interactive demos featuring music, movie and game content. The North American release also included a limited give-away of a UMD Movie version of the feature film Spider-Man 2 for the first one million PSP buyers.

MAN I hope we get the Spidey2 with the Gratis Preorder batch.

kaymin

PodTopia

27-02-2005 16:48:55

The PSPs are "PREORDERED" from America, which means that when they go on sale, they'll get shipped to you. And YES, we will be getting Spider Man 2 if you're in the preorder batch, because the first batch of PSPs coming over here is only 1 million. Everyone who preordered gets Spidey. At least that's what I've heard.

kaymin

27-02-2005 16:55:08

theres 2 million psps comming here, they delayed the European delay so they could release an extra million in the US.

Just requested approval - this will be my first portable gaming system since the ORIGINAL Gameboy in 1989.

PodTopia

28-02-2005 13:36:49

BudScox, that's cool. I've got (passed down to me, my family's, and mine) the ORIGINAL 1989 GameBoy (yes, just like you BudScox), a Game Boy Color, a Game Boy Advance (the normal one), and I just went STV for a Nintendo DS (for ds4free). My PSP should be all green by the end of the week!!

budscox

28-02-2005 14:02:31

I still play my original Game Boy. Nothing like shades of green games!

does the psp really come witha 1.8 gig hard drive?

PodTopia

01-03-2005 10:50:13

NOPE. Sony's thinking of making it a crazy multimedia machine, with a 50GB hard drive being announced in May. Imagine something bigger though, I guess around the thickness of the Creative Zen Portable Media Center (which is quite large).

kaymin

01-03-2005 15:13:55
