on my order history page it says the date/time of "sent to vendor, waiting on product" as being 8/30/2004 42800 PM... which was the original date.

but when i now click on the link of my order # that brings me to my shipping information... the status is still "sent to vendor, waiting on product," however it appears the date/time has now been switched to 9/24/2004 111200 AM!! shock

i tried emailing gratis, but i recieved a generic "Thanks for writing about your order status." email back from them.

has this happened to anyone else? does anyone know what this means??

Mine switched as well. I'm guessing that our order has been switched from one vendor to another - eCost to PCMall. Indeed, they are the same organization, but for some reason Gratis is doing this. No, you're now not "behind" everybody else.

How do you know Gratis has switched iPod orders from eCost to PCMall? It's pretty obvious why because eCost is <insert bad word here> slow. Talking with no factual evidence of what you say is stupid and is useless.

Same company, same inventory... so it would be rather pointless.

The only they'd switch is if they got a better offer because of buying in bulk (I believe PCMall has corporate deals, for buying in bulk). eCost targets individuals more.

It's 2 marketing frontends on the same inventory.
