The only thing that sounds interesting about it is watching movies on it. Do you guys want it for the games?

the games actually, look really good. if you havent seen any screen shots, the graphics are amazing for a hand held. They are as good as the ps2s...maybe even better depeding on which game. Go to ebay and search PSP you will get a lot of screen shot pictures.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in playing PS2-like games on the go. I can't see using this thing for music (hey, most of us have iPods now right?) I limightli watch movies on it - just because I can? I guess I don't know what I'm going to do with the PSP, just another gadget to add to the collection.

The games are SWEET. Near PS2 graphics quality just beats the pants off of the Nintendo DS. Also, it acts as a semi-PVP, but I wouldn't get it just to watch movies on it. They're coming out with a Grand Theft Auto for it, and the Need For Speed Underground Rivals looks awesome too.

All I know is that Nippon Ichi (Disgaea, Phantom Brave) is supposed to be releasing a game for it, and there's going to be a few FF stuff released on it. Kinda curious about a portable GTA, too. So it's good enough for me!

if they release a UMD-R expect alot of hacks for the psps. i ordered 2 x 512mb mem sticks for movies hopefully that'll be enough. GTA should be awsome on the psp

Yes, ITDBESAM, the memory sticks are good for movies. The problem they cost a lot and it's Sony's own format.
Sony's gains from releasing a UMD-R purchases of UMDs, purchases of UMD burners/readers
Sony losses from releasing a UMD-R hacking of PSP, illegal copying of games (<---major loss)

Yeah i'll use it for games but i'll also use it for movies...where i work one day it's super busy and I don't get a second to sit and the next i sit for my shift of 12 hours so those days it'll come in handy just like the internet and ipod does haha!

I think I'm gonna get the DS from www.freegamingsystems.com and sell it on ebay and sell some other stuff and get a PSP. Does a PSP have wireless networking like the DS does?
