This is copied and pasted from my e-mail..

[quotec821e633eb]The front office is going to be meeting the rest of this week to decide what to do with the new iPod models-- it's possible they might just replace the existing models or make a new site. Lots of options up in the air right now.[/quotec821e633eb]

I believe they will replace the existing iPods on their sites.
Only the PhotoiPods are affected by this change - the regular iPod remains the same (except removing the 40GB version from the line-up), iPod shuffles are the same.. so just Photo iPods are different one. I doubt they will start a new "freephotoipods" ... I hope they decide to take the 60GB version though....
Thanks CG, and keep us updated with any news you have. It is helping us a lot)

Note iPod minis are also changed, but it would be too strange to combine an iPod mini with an iPod Photo, and still require the same # of referrals

It's funny that I had discussed this earlier in another thread, and was in the minority that they might pull that.

Gratis.........don't do this.

People should have the right to try to do an offer for these too. Either allow people to go on using their fip accounts and get more referrals, plus do another orffer, in order to get one, or create a new site.

That's only fair....

if they offer the 60gb it will be at least 1 referal less since even the 60gb is cheaper than the current 40gb one and for thier site which offers the mini they can just switch it with the 6gb version.

I doubt they will decrease the number of referrals. It's just ... well not fair for people who tried to find 10 referrals and make them complete their offers. At least they should give them a bonus or something if they decrease the number of referrals.
60GB looks like the only option for photoipods right now.

60gb photo is still 1 less referal. it isnt screwing anyone the people who got 10 got 10 because thats the cost of the photo at the time now it is cheaper so they can lower the referals gratis wasnt making more money of the 10 referals before it was the minimum they believed to allow them to be compettive yet still make money. now it is 50$ cheaper so it shoudl lower by 1 referal

Wait what about the 30GB models. Some people(like me) are looking for a more thinner photo ipod. Do you think they will add the 30GB onto the site?

If they send me a 30 gig when i just busted ass getting 10 referrals which i thought would be equal to getting a $500 product when i started doing this, ill be steamed!

Thanks, CG... I was thinking about this very subject the other day, wondering when the current stock of 40gb iPod Photos would be exhausted and they would have to start using other models.

I would be ok with doing 10 refs for the 60gb model. But would feel very ripped off if after 10 refs, all I got the was 30gb model.

Keep us updated if you hear of anything new, CG. )

I should be done in this upcoming week do you think I'll still be able to get a 40?

The 40GB photo iPods have been selling for $300-$325 retail online. Personally I think if you WANT the 40GB you should go ahead and buy it, wait for Gratis to sell out of the 40GB and start offering the 60GB, then sell the new 60GB. You'll end up with the same 40GB iPod with all the accessories plus $100 or so to spend on whatever you want...

Wasting all 10 of your referrals for an item you could get for $325 is just kind of a rip-off. Granted I don't mind Gratis choosing to use the 40GB until they're gone, nor do I mind them making a little more on these things (they deserve it in a sense), but from my personally perspective in optimizing the value of my 10 referrals, I'll be waiting for the 60GB transition (with faith)...
