I just got my 20gig iPod Today! (President's Day - I didn't think DHL shipped today!) and I'm really excited. I've been lurking these forums for a while and I'm finally proud enough to make my post.
I just want to ask for some advice. I haven't opened my iPod box yet (the temptation is there!) Why you ask? Because I wonder if before I open it I can do something with it before it is too late. Like I heard about guys who took it to best buy and paid the difference for a 40 gig (which might be something I'd be interested in). Did anyone else do that? Perhaps I could wait a few weeks till the color screen comes out and exchange it? Anyone have advice? Or should I just enjoy the iPod? Thanks.

well, I havent gotten an ipod. but, i dont really think your gonna need a color screen if theres no photos to look at. and, i know some people do, but, do YOU have anywhere near 20 gigs of music that you like? if you do, then exchange it for a 40 gig.

I have 28.75GB of music that doesn't fit on my 20GB 3G iPod, even encoded at 128kbps (pretty low)...... My recommendation is the 40GB.

hmm...so conflicted! I guess a 20gig iPod is good enough!
