if anyone has gone stv already for the samsung id be willing to trade the Sony for a samsung as long as you pay shipping.

i'm getting the samsung monday but i'll have to say that sony is definitely not as good. 25ms response time is over twice as long as the sony. its cool that its bigger, but i'd take the higher quality monitor first.

This should complicate things for me...now I'll have to decide between the 17" Samsung and the 19" Sony. I'll probably still go with the Samsung, mostly because of the 12ms (as opposed to 25ms) but also because of the difference in depth.

the sony is useless for gamers, and/or anyone that will be showing movies or anything with a high frame rate.
reviews, and personal experience show these monitors preform very badly with videos and games..etc
you will se a "shadow" or even some "ghosting" in games, and movies.

Well, I was just approved and ordered the 17" Samsung. Then I realized that there was a 19" Sony so I cancelled my order and ordered the Sony. I don't care about the response time since I'll be mostly editing photos and writing code. The bigger screen size will work great for me.
