4 of my family members said they'd help me with the free ipod thing, using their name and address etc. But they didn't want me to use their e-mail address' cos they didn't want to be spammed and whatnot. So i made 4 new e-mail address' just for Freeipods.com (i already referred my wife) and signed up for offers. I'm unsure as to why i didn't think this would be against the rules before i actually signed them up like that, but when i don't get approved will i still be able to use my username for Freeipods.com? Or since its against the rules will i be banned? What's a good way to get referrals as some of my friends don't quite trust this (Freeipods.com). What exactly does the approval procedure consist of?......anyway thanks alot for any help! It's greatly appreciated!

This situation is one of those gray areas that is more than likely going to end up with you NOT getting your Ipod.
1. If you signed up for all those email addresses and are handling them from your house, they will know that the same IP address is signing in. This will make Gratis think you're just doing all the sign-ups yourself.
2. If they all do the same offer, then you're likely to be flagged.
3. If you use the same credit card for each, you WILL be flagged.
Just be careful.

Yeah i just found out on Freeipods.com, that im not allowed to have more than one account at the same address (my wife). I know, I know i shouldve looked into the BEFORE signing up. So what do i do now since im not going to get it? If i have 5 "legitimate" (different address, e-mail, card etc) refferals along with the 5 i have at the moment, does that mean ill be approved, or should i just go ahead and start up another account and go from there?......and what do you mean by flagged? thanks for your help budscox! i appreciate it!

Well, my freeipod account was put on hold for suspicious activities (I, too, hadn't read the email-account rules). However, I was taken off hold and I should receive my Ipod next week.
From what I hear, though, Gratis is cracking down and may be less likely to take you off of hold if you're put on.

Well, this may not be helpful to you, but I know that if you supply a few referrals with email addresses (and have them sign up with their own computer/cc/addy) you shouldn't have any problems. I host my own email server, and more than one person wanted an email address to keep them from being spammed and I didn't have a single referral refused.

so since ive used the same mailing address twice should i just start a new account over? or if i got another 5 refferals with 5 different details (email, address, card etc) would my status then be approved?.

so should i just create a new account or if i get 5 more "proper" refferals will they be accepted?

if you signed up under yourself on the same computer then your going to be on hold, no questions asked.
Oh yea about the cc thing, im still not sure about that, i know a few compnays (im not going to name them) dont track cc, but gratis im not sure.

what do you mean by "signed up under yourself"? and by tracking the credit card do you mean using the same one on multiple offers? thanks!
