I'm getting an ipod, cuz i'm a bit of a trendwhore, but I think i'd rather have the iRiver for its features. It's just..."so damned ugly."

Yeah, iRivers do look kind of ugly to me. My iPod that I have looks really nice. But the iRiver has better features.

im sure its harder to get refs for iriver than ipod, so ipod. they both play music, and personally i wouldn't really care, but i can guarantee its easier to get the ipod free.

i think the ipod is better.
yesterday i was looking for photo ipods on ebay (for the heck of it, i'm waiting for mine to be shipped)
i saw the iriver. it looked cheap knockoff of an ipod!!!!
i wonder if they are marked up to be around the same price too as an ipod too.?

Simple the iRiver plays videos. It's a clone of the Creative Zen Media Center (PVP) with a smaller screen (although you must download Korean firmware). The iPod cannot do nearly as much. The iRiver is $300 (the H320). It has a 20GB hard drive, a color screen, video capabilities, a voice recorder, an FM reception (thingy?) and more. Add all of that to the iPod, and you've got a juiced up iPod photo with the NyKo video adapter (yet to be released, but for over $100 when it is), the Griffin iTalk ($35), the color screen (iPod photo, $400), FM reception (iTrip/iFM, $35). I'll take off $100 for an extra 20GBs in the hard drive of the iPod, but if you were to make a comparative package, the iPod would be a lot bigger and cost $470, $170 more than the iRiver. Do the math ).

Still. I've seen some more pictures of the iRiver, and it's really not that bad looking.
