IPod 40

I seem to remember them using the original IPod with 40 gigs of HD when the site first came out. The advertise it as being the "New IPod 20 Gigs" like its a good thing. Maybe I'm mistaken, but haven't they cheapened?

No. It was always the 40GB. Before the 20GB was the standard (it was 10/15 for the 3G iPod) that's what they offered....

Well yeah, but 40 gigs is still better, everyone does the 20 now.

I have 28GBs of music, and it doesn't all fit on my 20GB... (obviously).

they used to give out the 40GB?

i have 25 gigs of just techno, but i didn't bother to even put much of it on my ipod. i just picked about 100 of my favorites so i'd have room for the other types of music i know i'd end up putting on later.

Seriously, right now I have about 300 songs, and i could only see myself getting another 200-300 in the next few years. You have like 7,000? THats insane

yea i dont have THAT many songs, but i probably will since i'll download them stick them on the iPod and then delete them off the compy ;-)

y'all are crazy. I have about 30GB of music as well. I don't see how you have so FEW songs. "Variety is the spice of life." The whole concept for HD based players like the iPod was the ability to carry your entire music collection around with you at once. I want a 40 gig but I'll be satisfied with a free 20gig iPod P

If you only have a little music, you don't get to have as many of those "oohhh, that's my song!" moments.

my ipod right now says i have 17.28 Gb. I agree with you guys, I love having all my albums on my player and enjoy being able to carry around lots of different types of music (i have ecclectic taste). I would not be satisfied with 300 of my favorite singles. I have hit allofmp3.com pretty hard since i've had my ipod.

I'm in approval for the 40Gb photo, so I'm looking forward to that so I can keep expanding without worrying about filling up.

It's not that amazing to have so many songs. If you only have 4GBs of music, then why did you opt for the 20GB iPod instead of the Mini???

20GB is worth more + if you keep collecting more and more music you'll need the 20Gigs

Right, but I have friends with a 20GB who have 300 songs and keep it at that. I think it's really stupid. But then again, I live in a town where money means nothing....

I have 875 songs on my computer.... < 3.5 GB
