iPod shuffles starting to show availability

It seems that many Apple stores have been getting small shipments of shuffles in the last few weeks. More recently, iPod shuffles have been available at many microcenters and bestbuys. Finally these things are making their way down the supply chain! Gratis will have some apple shipments rolling in soon, but I wonder if they can meet the demand of all the people processing. I'm expecting a STV within 2 weeks.

That would be cool. I wonder how many people are actually processing and waiting to be sent to STV though...

Mine last referral completed his offer this AM. I am anxious for the credit to go through and get my account approved. I'd like to be in the first STV.

I missed the last STV on the ipod by a day, so hopefully I'll have better luck this time.

I hope they are running some sort of queue for all the people who have completed their requirements and are processing. It's quite a wait and kind of reminds me of how long pll had to wait around for their free ipods a while back.

I agree with undertheradar. Also, OC ships the 512 MB "within 2 weeks" from ipodshuffles4free.

Hmm. Maybe I should try OC. I need /something/ to show my friends. The first one I completed had to be the one that is totally backed up ?

I have been stv for a while on ipodshuffles4free.com. Still no shipping tracking number or anything.

Yeah, definately. These things are really nice for sports because they can stand cold better than the hard-drive ipods(snowboarding). And they can stand heat better. That's because they are flash-drives. I want one of these things really bad.

I want one of these things really bad.[/quote7090f5e1ac]and another add-on quote...when i used to jog with my ipod, since a hard drive was never intended to take shocks and jolts from jogging, it would freeze every now and then. yes...the beauty of flash players.

you do know that if you jog with your ipod you do risk the the chance of the hard drive seek disk shattering the hard drive patter right? If you happen to have a jolt during the read/access time then your probably screwed as that part of the drive will be deemed a bad sector, and those are a major pain.

Yeah, my iPod 20GB is my baby and my shuffle will be my sports/action iPod.

i'm just 1 away from my free ipod shuffle so hopefully by the time i get the last one they have plenty in stock!
