i can't find the exact details of the PeoplePC offer on their site.
the freeipods pop-up says
"Sign up for People PC's free Trial, download AND install the software and continue on at $10.95 a month. We encourage you to try this great service. You will receive credit in 5-7 days."
the main page of the PeoplePC site says
"3 MONTHS for 1/2 PRICE!
$5.47 per month for 3 months.
Then just $10.95 per month."
the PeoplePC site doesn't mention anything about a free trial or minimum subscription length etc. it does say no credit card is required which makes me think there is a free trial but i can't be sure. it also says it's $5.47 a month for the first 3 months whereas the freeipods pop-up mentions a free trial followed by $10.95 a month.
does anyone know the exact details of the offer? i'm thinking of doing it but i want to make sure what i'm signing up for.

I had a problem with that too so I just didn't sign up. I sent an email to them but I received an answer that didn't make sense.It'd be great if someone could clarify that.
The reason that it says no CC required is b/c they also except bank account information.
Oh yeah, search the forum, maybe ther's an answer. I couldn't find one but maybe you can.

i searched the forum but no info comes up on the actual offer. just people discussing how long it takes to get credit and such.
thanks for clearing up the no cc thing. that's pretty sneaky of them haha.
i haven't heard horror stories about it (yet) so i'm pretty sure i'll sign up for it when the time comes. i can post the details later on if it would help you if no one responds.

Yeah, that's the same thing I came up with. I guess it would be safe to assume that it's a free trial. Please do update me on what happens.

i did the peoplepc offer and it seems like it is a free trial. i had a $1 pending charge from them but it went away. however, i never received a confirmation email from them and i'm having trouble logging into my account on their website. i did receive credit for it, though.
