From what I've been seeing in this forum, it seems like just about everyone who switched on 9/8 has theirs and that the 9/9's are starting to get theirs.
With the excpetion of a couple of odd ones, it seems like most people who switched after 9/9 have not recieved theirs yet.

oddly, i was shipped and I switched on sept 12.
i am an 8/10 (not that it matters in this situation but man, I've been waiting a LONGGGG time, about as long as some of those 8/6 who've still not shipped) but i find it odd that I am getting an HP iPod... anyway glad to get an HP iPod.

Switching puts you on two waiting lists, and it would just appear that eCost has been shipping out ginormous quantities of hPods right now. I would imagine they have more in stock than iPods, since most people order the iPod by default (e.g. eCost customers, not just Gratis customers). hPods ship on a first switch, first ship basis, while iPods ship based on your IP3 date. Until Apple starts picking up production of the iPod, I doubt many people who DIDN'T switch are going to get theirs anytime soon.
When did you switch? I think only a random sample of people after 9/10 have shipped already...not everyone. But I couldn't tell you for sure.

I'm suprised they don't just order direct from Apple, or someone like CDW who has more in stock.
eCost doesn't appear to have any price breaks. And very minimal stock. They aren't known for great deals when buying in bulk either.

I'm a little confused with all those switches) I saw yesterday someone who switched AFTER me, has a higher Order Number (although it doesn't matter, but still) and has his ipod already shipped. Kind of strange. I hope I get mine soon, but still I want my status updated;) And how can I find when did I switch to the hPod? My ip3 date is 9/13, but on the order details page it's 9/15...

The reason people from 8/2 are still waiting when 9/9s are getting their ipod is because the order for an ipod was already placed when you switched. chances are, you older ones are still gonna get ipods, even if you switched hpods.

Caveman -- not necassrily. When I look at the timestamp for my order its different too but its 8/13 and hPods weren't even available then. I switched to hPod just a few days ago....
So, I would say that timestamp may not be when you switched..
Got today and Im am thrilled. I hope all you guys who switched as well will get yours D
