Thinking of a new way to get referrals (Should be ok right?)

Ok so seeing how Gratis probably has no intentions to credit me for three lost offers...all I can do I guess is find more.

This has probably already been done and maybe even mentioned, but I'm thinking of making flyers and distributing them around campus with little rip-off tabs at the bottom with the url address.

A couple questions

This wouldn't be considered scamming or anything or cause me to be placed on hold if someone reported the flyers?

How would I go about make a simple (read CHEAP) easy to type/remember link that would redirect the person to use my referral link so I get credit?

try http//tinyurl.com

Also I dont think you can get in any trouble if the places dont have signs that say "No solicitating?"

cjb.net or... a lot of registrars are giving away .infourl==http://=http:///url domains.

i'd do .infourl==http://=http:///url and they are worried about sPamming not scamming, posters can't be spam so...

This is illegal in many areas... so I'd be careful.

Posting fliers around campus is what I did. I had 15 sign ups, 5 of which completed an offer. Fliers was very effective, i put out about 7 of them in the dorms and got all my referrals within 3 or 4 days. Some people are assholes though and rip them down when they're drunk, so if that didn't happen I probably could have gotten away with less. As far as websites go, I used freewebs.com, not the shortest url but short enough that you can put it on a tear off on a flier.

www.dot.tk has pretty decent links, you get a url such as "www.yoursite.tk"

works decently ;]

Illegal? How so?

Now...this might be illegal, I'm not sure.

Can I use pictures of an iPod on the flyer or is that not allowed?

Thanks for the help.

I ended up registering three .INFOurl==http://=http:///url address each for $0.99 )
I did one for the iPod, one for the flat screen and one for the computer.

Hopefully it works...I'll put them up around campus.

Just about all places now have a law on the books requiring you to have a permit before handing out/posting flyers.

1. Annoyance
2. Litter (most end up on the street).

I'd be careful.

Domainsite.com is running a special on .INFOurl==http://=http:///url sites.
$0.99 per year for up to 25 sites. )

Hmm, I don't know.

I see flyers all over campus on special pushpin boards. Crap from earning free vacations to making $5,000 per month doing internet work to roomate wanted ads.

I think you have a LOT less to worry about on a big college campus than, say, in a public area like posting on telephone poles and such.

well yea, college campusses aren't public property. so it can't be illegal, just against campus rules. like it's illegal to post anything on light posts or electrical posts or anything like that but not on private property (or semi-public property at that)

i would just make sure you sound mention the term "freeipods.com" because otherwise people will be like "freeipods.com is a lot easier to type that tinyurl/dK38Ld2" or something

With the .INFOurl==http://=http:///url sites I registered, it makes the site easy to type/remember yet still forewards it to my referral link.

For example, the site I made is www.freeipodsforyou.info.

If you go to that, it will redirect it to my referral link at freeipods.com
