I just started this free Ipod thing today and I have to decide an offer to do for myself

Out of these, which one is the best and has the least catch or needs no payment/credit card?

Blockbuster online
Citi Platinum Card for College Students
BMG Music Service
Video Professor
Citi Platinum Select Card
Columbia House DVD
Real Rhapsody
Complete Home
GM Card
Cheap Trips
People PC Online
Citi Driver's Edge Platinum Card
Nexiderm
USA Today
Freebidding.com
Buyers Advantage
Great Fun
MyInks
Bargain.com
The Wall Street Journal

For the people that have done this before and have gotten an IPod, which offer did you and ur friends sign up for in that list?

I like Buyer''s Advantage because you get the Circuit City gift card. Blcokbuster, though $10, is also great.

so with buyers advantage, you pay 1$ and they send you a 20$ gift card no strings attached?

pretty much as far as i know.

i always thought it was better to not complete your own offer until all of your referrals have done theirs. that way you don't eliminate the offer you did for other people and if you give up you don't waste money. maybe i'm wrong about this, though.

Eh...I complete myown offer right away. It just gives me some piece of mind knowing I won't have to wait for that once all my referrals have gone through.

My favorites so far
eFax
PeoplePC

I liked Blockbuster myself, but I didn't think it was worth switching from NetFlix, but only because NetFlix has a better selection of anime and is a hair bit faster. Blockbuster Online is less expensive.

I also thought that the Great Fun Online site wasn't that bad...

And despite what other people say, Real Rhapsody is half decent.

Blockbuster, though a great service, never actually went green for me. I had to do another offer. And it looks like my friends who signed up under the whole "Blockbuster is instant now!....Oh wait it's apparently not" thing will not get credited anytime soon, either.

I liked Trimlife. Easy, instant. The Complete Home offer though is my favorite. $1 for a month's access to very useful home how-to guides. Plus a $29 gift card to Lowe's!

Generally you should complete your offer ASAP, because chances are you signed up under [i4b40392345]someone[/i4b40392345] (and if you didn't, you're just being wasteful). Additionally, the offer you did does not disappear for your referrals...that was just a rumor.

i took over my brother's existing account since he gave up so i didn't get to sign up under someone. otherwise i definitely would've traded referrals to sign up under someone.

thanks for debunking that rumor. i've been under the wrong impression for the longest time. hmph.

is everyone who signed up for blockbuster recently having trouble receiving credit? that's a bit worrisome as i was going to get 2 of my friends to do that offer. i know it says it's instant credit when it's really not which doesn't bother me. not receiving credit at all would pretty much ruin my plans.

When I did efax on the photo ipods site it disappeared for my refs, and when I did video professor on FiP, it disappeared for my refs...maybe it was just coincidence, but the rumor has held true for me.

I did Callwave, and my refs didn't see it (it was on the day it came out).

If you believe in the rumor that says your friends can't do the same offer as you...I wouldn't do Blockbuster.

Blockbuster has been the easiest sell for me by far (5 friends signed up, 3 green, one pending, one messed up).

KneeGrow,

A good place to look for those questions is www.ratetheoffers.com.

I personally like the Buyer's Advantage offer, because of the Circuit City gift card. I'm putting it towards a Ren & Stimpy DVD boxed set... w00t.

Heh! I did almost all the $1 dollar offers and all of those sites are great.
Good quality services. I actually kept some of them. The best are Great Fun,
Buyers Advantage and Shoppers Advantage. You get a free $20 Lowes gift card, a free cd player and a digital mp3 player, last I checked.

The mp3 player sucked but the rest is the bomb diggity. They even offer the whole year of membership for free when you try to cancel. You can't beat that.

By the way, Great Fun = Free Food. Nuff said.
