it still suprises me how much stuff they give away. and yes, i know how they make $. but i'm on my 3rd freebie (20gb, handbag, shuffle), and it just seems so amazing! and i know some of us are doing way more than 3. Whatya think, it'll die down after 6 mos?

It will die down when either

a) the market becomes saturated (no more people to refer)
or
b) advertisers stop paying so much $$ for referrals (it happened to banner ads).

it'll die down as Gratis decides to put all accounts on hold just because they feel like it... oops

There are better alternatives than Gratis you know.

It will probably die down eventually....my run will be through when I complete the game system and all my stuff has shipped. Ah, what am I saying? I'll probably just start over again. )

All I want is my 20gb, and the 17" LCD!

lol My guess is itll start to die down when most of the real free stuff enthusiasts get their fill, and its just a few people (by few i mean a lot, but you get the idea) here and there signing up for sites to get one free thing or two. Im gonna be done with gratis as soon as I finish freeflatscreens and freedesktoppcs, and maybe minimacs...after that, I will prolly move to OC offers, and after that..who knows..lol no harm in trying to get free stuff

I think it could very well die out if too much bad pubicity shrinks the pool of would-be referrals prematurely. Some people on another forum are hoping to take out an entire page ad in the NY Times to badmouth Gratis and their hold policy. I think something like that could make the whole "industry" collapse.

i doubt it will end soon. the majority of the people will still think these sites are a scam. while most are, some like OfferCentric and Gratis are not.

that keeps the pool of people small (unlike what happened with banner ads), which means companies would still pay high $ for referrals.

now if everybody cancels the offer they signed up for once they complete an site, then the companies will get rid of this method of advertising sooner than expected.

its hard to stop

but i think i will after my pending stuff comes( xbox computer and $300) and i finish pctech and maybe one last thing

then i might have to restart when a good psp place comes up
