I just signed up for freeflatscreens, i have never had a credit card, if i fill out the form for one how do i cancel it? can i just cut it up and throw it in the trash?

im also wondering that. If i can get a few buddies of mine that just turned 18 to get a credit card and then they can just cut it up, toss it out, and never be charged anything. i dont know much about real credit cards though. my credit card is one connected directly to my bank account.

Some credit cards have a minimum yearly activity... if you don't spend x dollars they charge you y dollars to keep the account open.
Other companies do not have that policy. Read the agreement for the card you are looking at. They are usually very clear.

If you do a credit card offer you have to use it...

Yeah, the cc offers require that you activate and use the card. All you have to do is call to activate the card, go buy a pack of gum at the supermarket, wait for the bill (or access your account online), pay it off, then call the # on the back to cancel. Its real easy.
