Does the iPod Shuffle require a USB 2.0 connection to be charged? Nothing I can find about it specifies, it just says "USB", but all my computer has is the old USB 1.1.

nah undertheradar, it doesnt come with a regular charger. You have to buy it separately, or use the one that comes iwth the regular iPOD. The only way to charge it is via USB port, either 1.1 OR 2.0, OR like I said, you can use the charger than comes with the regular iPOD. If you dont have a regular iPOD, you can buy the charger from the apple store )

technically it should work, though you will be experience the usb 1.1 speeds not the usb 2.0 speeds

The port on the regular charger is for firewire, while the port on the charger for the iPod shuffle is USB. They're two completely different things.

oh sorry then. I was given the idea that it could work, because on the apple store they offer the traditional charger in a bundle with the ipod shuffle.
