I'm from the Philadelphia (Pa) suburbs. I was watching Fox news at 10pm last night, when I saw a commercial for tomorrow's (now today's) news. They will be discussing the FreeiPod craze, and the sites in particular! Anyone in the local area be sure to watch it and tell your skeptical friends to do so as well wink
I'm going to try and tape it. Admins, this would be a great addition to the Proof section of the site!

The craze? i thought the craze was well over with, i thought we'd at least moved into the addicted frenzy phase or the cult like hysteria one, but craze?

It was short but sweet. They talked about the popularity of the iPod, and then interviewed two college students who had "decided to take another route". They then went to Gratis headquarters and talked about the operations there and and how it was a legit business. One of the facts mentioned was that they send out 500 iPods a week. Wow! I'm so glad I got it on tape. Now to encode it....

my friend was going to do a speech in one of his college classes on the freeipods website and he was going to take his ipod with him and even wear the shirt too
