This actually refers to anything you sign up for, but are debit cards generally accepted or does that single me out? I signed up for a couple offers already and they seemed to have gone through. Hopefully it works licrosses fingersli

You could always use a webcert.

Same here, but I haven't done Video Professor yet. If it has a Visa or MasterCard logo it should be able to be used as a credit card. That's how mine works.

I did video professor and it worked on my debit card. The best rule of thumb is just to read the offer. Some state that you "certifiy that the card above is not a debit card" or something like that. Even then, I don't think they care as long as they get their money, they're just letting you know that they will not be responsible for any overdraft fees incurred. That's what I believe, anyway.

Even that isn't always true....

My debit card is Visa branded, but it made no difference.

It may have to do with the bank, or that the card number prefix may not match the database of Visa, or Visa branded debit, cards the signup site is supplied with.
