My mini is supposed to arrive the 25th. Just in case it doesn't arrive then and I'm working what happens if it arrives and I'm not here to sign for it? Can a family member sign for it? If not, where does it go?

I've heard that noone signs for it and they leave it there. I know someone who had his ipod crammed in between the door and the screen door. You can probably ask for a sign on delivery though.

The DHL tracking info on my iPod says someone has to sign for it. Hmmmm

Yeah, just have someone sign for it. Fortunately someone is always here at my house!

that means nothing to them.

mine was left in front of a random house with no street numbers, where no one was home, on the street next to mine, out in the cold, and they didn't really seem to care that much until i yelled at them on the phone for about 2 hours.

Wow, that sucks... Lucky for me I live out in the middle of nowhere so I won't have to worry about the chance of that happening and someone else picking it up.

Redundancy

They don't do that here... considering it's LA and people rob a lot... they usually come around for a second delivery attempt the next day.

You can leave a note with your name on it and your signayure asking them to leave it on the door step and they will.

Well if you're expecting the thing, just stay home. But if it's an emergency and what not then atleast have a friend or whoever stay in to sign it! DO NOT risk someone stealing your ipod! (

yeah I wouldn't risk it. Let me know if you do decide to ask them to leave it there so I can come steal it... J/K!

Nah, I'm not worried about anyone stealing it, my nearest neighbor is about a mile up the road. I was just worried they were strict about getting my signature or if a family member could sign for it. )
