This isn't about the PC, but since no one's responding, I figured I'd throw my two cents in.

I was able to sell my 27" Sony TV for $300 cash. That's more than I would have been able to get on eBay because of shipping costs (shipping is min. $50). I saw my TV going for about $200 on eBay. Furthermore, the TV can be had for as little as $300 online, so that's a pretty good price to get - almost full retail!

Since you have a computer, that might be more highly sought after than a bulky TV. If you can't sell it to a friend, I'm sure there are stores/resllers who will buy it for $400-$500, assuming it retails for $500-$600.

Don't get caught up in the numbers; just be happy you're getting the sale. And, obviously, don't tell the buyer you got it for free.

Yeah, I sold mine for $400 as well - to a friend. I didn't bother with eBay (the monitor sucks to ship). But I also got the $100 rebate from dell in the mail. So ended up getting $500 total.

does the free computer come with a $100 rebate from Dell??? I hadn't heard anything about that. Can you tell me more about it? It just came in the mail and you had to send it in? Is this rebate thing always running?
thanks

Apparently, only Gratis is eligble to receive the rebate, and some "goody-two-shoes" have been sending the required info back to Gratis, so they can get it. ;)

I wouldn't have minded doing so (although I now went for the Cyberpower), but a free iSkin or something, would've been nice in exchange. D

Actually my Dell came with the $100 rebate offer posted right on the packing slip (This was with the first batch of FDPC's only) I sent the packing slip directly to Dell and they sent me a check.

Hmm, I've heard tons of responses to the contrary, so maybe you were lucky? ?
