Here's something i just noticed. Normally when you click on a referral link and it takes you to the site it says "you have been referred by email==whatever@whatever.comwhatever@whatever.com=whatever@whatever.comwhatever@whatever.com/email"
Now they say "you have been referred by ID ##########"
Which is the number at the end of ur link. Hmmm...interesting. I wonder why the change.

email spam. since their numbers are sequential, people just sign up for FIP, change the last digit of their ref ID up or down one and start selling email addresses.

there was an information disclosure attack before because of predictable user numbers.
very simple security venerability.

all someone would need to do to get a bunch of emails is put one referral link in the address bar of the explorer then change one number and he would get someone elses email. then that person could spam you or sell the emails to spammers.

ahh i get it, sounds like a reasonable reason to change the format.

hey but that's good, so the person who clicks on our referal links won't know our emails BUT if we do spam like crazy, when they report, they report our REF ID # so gratis can catch us, gratis has become very smart and much more wiser. and its good that nobody else can buy our emails and spam us like crazy.

I think Gratis can track us just as easily with our emails.
